Starscape Star Ceilings

Home Cinema

There's nothing quite like a star ceiling to add the finishing touch to a dedicated home cinema room, helping to make the room a special refuge from the everyday world, somewhere where you can really relax.

Star cloths

Star Cloths designed and manufactured by Starscape are used as stage backdrops in theatres, at rock concerts, in discos and special events such as weddings and parties, home theatre or in retail settings.

Star panels

We have a range of star ceiling panels that will add a touch of magic to any room. All can be supplied with optional LED edge lighting to add to the ambiance.

Chandeliers

Our Fibre Optic Chandeliers combine the dramatic effects available using our wide range of fibre optic cable with low voltage powerful LED light sources.

LED flexible tape

LED lighting for seamless linear effects. Suitable for coving lighting, skirting lighting, wall wash lighting and signage applications. Available in single colour and colour changing versions.

Light sources

At the heart of a fibre optic installation is the light source (or projector). All our light sources are now LED-based which makes them super-economical to run, and we have versions available that change colour, twinkle, dim, strobe, are remotely programmable and DMX controllable.

Optical fibre

We stock several types and sizes (diameters) of Polymer (pmma) Optical Fibre and solid core light guide for a range of applications. Types include: end-emitting fibre, solid core side glow fibre, sheathed fibre and sparkle fibre.

Star kits

Making your own star display or other decorative lighting effect is easy, and most of our kits go to homeowners who are installing fibre optics in their own bedrooms or bathrooms. Watch our animation to help you understand the installation process.

Acrylic panels

Certain grades of acrylic share some of the properties of internal reflection which make fibre optics work the way they do. Light introduced at one edge will escape through etched or sand-blasted patterns on the face to create floating glowing images.

Concepts

We are always trying to innovate and create something a little different and special. This 300mm diameter ball is of woven single strand wired sparkle fibre.

Fibre optic star ceilings are perfect in the bedroom or nursery for creating that sensation of sleeping out under the stars, and a star ceiling also adds that finishing touch to a dedicated home cinema room.
Fibre optics can also be used in a huge range of other innovative lighting applications, both indoors and out.
Our fibre optic lighting can be used to dramatic effect in the bathroom or kitchen, where the ability to separate the light output from the electrical supply has obvious safety applications.

You can install fibre optic lighting in a splashback next to a bath or washbasin – or even inside a shower enclosure.
Fibre optics also have great potential outdoors, whether in a domestic garden or in municipal and commercial landscaping applications.
In the world of entertainment we’ve supplied fibre optic components to theatres, theme parks and the special effects departments of iconic TV and movie franchises.

A great advantage of fibre optic lighting is that the fibres and/or end fittings can be permanently sealed in place, without having to worry about access to change bulbs.

As long as the LED-based light source is accessible, the actual glowing fibre ends can be anywhere, up on a high ceiling, cast permanently into a concrete floor or wall or built in to a staircase to illuminate the risers or treads.
