Sideglow fibre colour change effect.

Starscape stocks sideglow fibre in 6mm and 11mm diameters.

Solid core sideglow fibre is available in various thicknesses and can be used to create dramatic linear lighting effects. It can be used

outdoors and is very commonly used in swimming pools. It is best used with bright light sources, such as our 150 watt metal

halide units, and to achieve a uniform glow over its length the fibre is either daisy-chained between light sources or used in a loop

in such a way that both ends of the fibre are in the harness termination.


In this image only one end of this coil has been inserted in the optical port of the light source so you can see that the light level

gradually drops off with distance.
